Happy Independence Day!

I hope everyone has a wonderful time with family & friends today in whatever you might be doing. Independence Day has been one of my favorite holidays since I was just a little girl. Fireworks are fascinating, and it doesn't help that it's an incredible day to follow a birthday.

But most of all, thank you to all of the men & women who have served & are serving in our armed forces. Our freedom was made possible because of them, and is continually defended by them. It's hard to find a job more honorable.

A special thank you to the following men in my life who dedicated time to the armed forces:

My Husband - US Navy Retired
My Father - US Air Force Retired, Air National Guard Reservist
My Grandfather - US Air Force Retired
Husband's Father - US Army Retired
Husband's Grandfather - US Navy Retired
Cousin B - US Marines, currently overseas
Cousin S - US Army, Finally on his way home for good from Iraq!

Have a safe & happy holiday!

I have a huge military family too. I've always thought people who are close to veterans take this holidays a little differently than others! I still enjoy the bbq's and fireworks though.
